Learning from 2010 to Prepare for 2012
We recently conducted the first Winning With Women survey. The response was overwhelming.
The purpose of the survey was to assess the awareness of differences in voting patterns between women and men. Rutgers University has been documenting this so called "gender gap" through several election cycles. Yet, awareness that there is a gap has been slow to materialize. What Participants are Saying:"Thank You for inviting me. I loved it and I look forward to getting to know you better."
------ "Thank you so much for hosting such a powerful event." ------ "The event was THE BEST!" ------ "Thank you all for starting this group, and for the great event. Our candidates are great, and so are you." ----- "I learned more tonight than I have ever known about the process." | With women candidates running for Senate and Congress in large numbers nationwide in 2010 - a historical first for America - we now have clear evidence that women, especially Republican women, "cross over" to vote for male candidates regardless of party. Yet, awareness that this is happening, and the causes for it, are little known. Few are aware it's happening. Even fewer are addressing it.
Winning with Women is dedicated to helping America's leaders "look like" America's people. If women and men see issues differently, and if their votes cancel one another out, how can more conservative candidates be elected? Our survey results give answers and help identify more questions. We've provided a link to the survey below. We have also linked the Rutgers exit polling data from the 2010 election for your review. We hope you get a sleeve or two to roll up for the hard work to come on behalf of this great land we love. God Bless America!!
